- It’s old school Friday, which mean I am sitting at the computer, writing this blog, and watching Top Gun. I love the part where Tom Cruise rides his 80′s out motorcycle with the airplane, Iceman, and tower fly-by’s. The whole movie is glorious.
- Valentines Day is tomorrow. I buy my wife flowers year round, clean the house often, and do whatever she needs done, when it needs done. We also go on dates more than once a month (If your a husband, take notes.), so this year I bought her a crock pot (our old one was a mess) and a card to tell Hallmark, “thanks for keeping up the good work”. She went nuts (in a good way) and that’s why we’re crazy about each other.
- We had an awesome dinner last night with some people in our church. It was unexpected and truly encouraging to listen to them talk and hear their hearts. I am enjoying getting to know people older than us and listen to the wisdom in their hearts. You can learn a lot from those who went before you and refuse to give up.
- There are so many good things happening at our church right now, its hard to imagine how people can see the negatives.
- I’m teaching Sunday morning on a few verses in Mark 6. I titled the message, “The Misconceptions of the Messiah”. I’m excited.
- Besides the Bible, I’m currently reading, “Why We’re Not Emergent: By Two Guys Who Should Be” by Kevin DeYoung and Ted Kluck it’s powerful stuff and a great read for anyone in church.
What’s on your mind?
