Here we go…
- Good application this week from personal Bible study. Daniel, Ezekiel, and Proverbs all demolished my internal self. What an amazing help the scripture is. I know God is using His word to help me grow more externally. I’m learning to use more practical means to glorify God through my external actions.
- I love my dog but this week he has been like a two year old child with a case of Mountain Dew and a box of Baby Ruth candy bars in his stomach. Seriously, he makes me think twice about having kids. However, he’s a lot like me when the winter comes. He just can’t sit still. If it wasn’t five degrees outside, I would take him on a run. Warm weather, I’m waiting for you.
- I’m looking for a good, light, inexpensive road bike. I need something that is quick to use for sprint triathlons and other road races. Any ideas?
- I’m getting super excited to head to Boston for the Marathon (no, I am not running in it. My man Jonathan is. He’s crazy fast (21st at the Chicago marathon). I’m not. However, I would totally dominate in a fist fight. Regardless, go team Eckberg!) I’m simply going for the experience and culture. I’ve never been to Boston before, it should be a great time.
- I’m taking 5 teenagers to five Christian colleges (Cedarville, Grace, Cornerstone, Moody, and Trinity) on Sunday. We are doing the whole trip in four days. It should be absolutely crazy but I’m excited to spend some time with our juniors and seniors. I like seeing their hearts outside of our community. It’s interesting to see where they are looking for their future.
- Should be a good weekend. Looking forward and praying about meeting with some people, having spirit filled conversations with friends, hanging out with my wife, and eating good food.
That’s all I got.
