NOTES: The songs this week were all mostly upbeat. I was super excited to play the songs on set with the team we had lined up. For some reason everyone plays well together in that line-up. We kicked the service off with announcements and offering so that as soon as the music kicked in we could keep the tunes upbeat for the morning. We brought down the chorus of “Filled With Your Glory” for communion (just acoustic and electric), then sang the chorus as a body after we were done with communion to go straight into the message.
People sang! Tons of energy! God was glorified! Great Sunday!

Interested to see that you use responsive reading. How does that work for you?
Louise,
It’s interesting. It’s kind of like the congregation singing (see last post). Sometimes it works really well and other times we shake our heads wondering what happened. Regardless, the word of the Lord is being read aloud which is awesome to hear corporately.
