Sunday Set List (The Rundown for 12/21)

Here’s the rundown for 12/21/2008 – Complete Acoustic Set (That means that everything was “Acoustic” for the service except for our drum kit (which is electric) and the bass).

9:00 – Go Tell It on the Mountain – HCC Arrangement, country style.

9:05 – Announcements and Offering

9:10 – O’ Praise Him – David Crowder Band Arr. – The worship band merged the song into the first chorus of O’ Come All Ye Faithful.  It was a pretty sick transition.

9:15 – O’ Come All Ye Faithful

9:20 – What Child is This

9:25 – Special Music – Carol of the Bells by Barlow Girl.  A girl in our youth group and one of our staff members signed the song as it played.  It was a different element that was fun to watch.

9:30 – Message – The Virgin Birth, So What?

9:55 – O’ Come, O’ Come Emmanuel

10:00 – Go Tell It on the Mountain as people were leaving

NOTES:  It was a good Sunday for the most part.  We had a few problems that were more annoying than anything else (something was wrong with the sound that made everything sound muffled, people seemed down so it took awhile to get the energy up, etc.).  The team still came through and delivered well.  God was glorified, that’s what matters!

O come, O come Emmanuel is one of my favorites. We did that one this week also.
