Sunday Set List (The Rundown for 12/14)

Here’s the rundown for 12/14/2008 – A.K.A. our Christmas Service Celebration!

8:44 – GeNESIS Youth Group Served Breakfast

10:00 – Start Service – Full Band lead by Worship Leader Chris Woods from Greenville College.  Most songs were done in the traditional setting.

  • O’ Come Let Us Adore Him
  • Angels From The Realms of Glory
  • Come Let Us Worship and Bow Down

10:20 – Children’s Choir – Lead by Worship Leader Bethany Muck

  • The Best Present of All
  • Christmas is a Time to Love

10:25 – Announcements and Offering – See Highland Community Church Website for announcements (click here)

10:30 – Choir Cantata – Names of Jesus (unable to find link to that material)

NOTES: All in all it was a great Sunday!  The youth group rocked the house by serving breakfast to over 100 adults in the church.  That’s amazing due to the fact that a lot of people were out of town.  They served a full breakfast (eggs, pancakes, sausage, etc.) with proud smiles on their face and servant hearts.  It is awesome to see the young people lead.  (I should do a post on how to carry out the youth run breakfast.  Maybe later.)

The Christmas songs were a great kick-off to start the service.  It was a great way to bridge both service music styles. (We had a combined service today, we usually run two with different music types.)  Also, the children’s choir was a great touch this year (there wasn’t one last year).  The choir delivering the Cantata worked out well to end the service and they did a good job.  Good stuff all around.

What a great idea about the breakfast! That would work really well here at the beach in Africa. I’ll suggest that for next year.

I love seeing the youth serve – in any capacity. They’re just so great.

Sounds like a great service. I love kid’s choirs, so sweet.
