- Last night our we cast the vision for small groups. In less than 24 hours we have people locked in and ready to get started. I am blown away at how quickly people will respond when you cast a solid vision. We simply answered the two questions of where do you want people to go and what do you want people to do. This semester of small groups starting first of the year should be great.
- On that note, I am exploring other small group studies outside the ones I already know. What do you have that you have tried that is engaging, interactive, and pushes for conversation? Let me know.
- I love calling guys from college to see what their up to. I had a great conversation with markartrip.com about ministry and things taking place in his life. He always finds a way to encourage my heart and make me question everything I wear or listen to (sarcasm?). Thanks Mark. (p.s. you owe me a book!)
- Speaking at Grace College Tuesday went well. It was amazing to hear the feedback from students who are pursuing a “full-time” commitment to the ministry.
- Working through 1 Samuel right now for my devotions. I am amazed at Hanna in the first couple chapters. Talk about a mom who cares about her son.
- A few new books have through my office to read. Better Safe than Sued by Jack Crabtree and The Bible Handbook by Halley. Both are interesting reads.
- I think I locked in the topic for my thesis proposal. Now I just have to write it.
What’s in your head?
