Washburn J28 Acoustic Guitar Review

For those of you who don’t know, I lead worship from time to time in our worship services and routinely play with our youth praise band.  (Note: It has come to my attention that if you’re in youth ministry you can also play the guitar and lead worship.  That’s a myth.  Not all youth pastors can play guitar and more importantly some shouldn’t.  In the same breath, not all worship leaders can lead youth.  Use your gifts but don’t think because you have one gift you automatically have another one.  Some do, some don’t.  Stick with what your good at.)

I’m an avid fan of guitars and the music world.  I love to play and lead worship when I get the chance. From time to time I’ll review equipment so that musicians can get an opinion before they make a purchase.  I recently made the switch from my Ibanez acoustic to the Washburn (J28SCEDL model).  I liked the Ibanez model but it was extremely heavy and large for a jumbo in my opinion.  I also thought the action was a little high.  A great guitar, just not my style.  A buddy of mine plays on a Washburn so I figured I would try it out.  I got my Washburn yesterday.  I love it.

Here’s the video review.  Enjoy.

What are you playing?
