Since I have been at the church we have worked hard to create an environment for our youth. While some people say that a room makes little difference in ministry, I disagree (I see your points but still disagree). People of any age want a place to feel welcome and comfortable in.
Your first impression on people in ministry matters. Sometimes you only get one shot. If you meet at your house, a church, or in an open field, your generating a message. We work hard at our “first impression” and the message we sent to the youth. We want to make sure that they know they are important. We want to show them we care for them by giving a “spot” in the church, a place to call their own. This is just one of the ways we work on making a good first impression.
Check out our gathering place. It’s pretty sweet.
Where are you meeting? What message does that send?

Good looking room, bro. I loved your last line, “this means nothing if you’re not a part of it.” Good stuff.
