- Looking forward to tomorrow (labor day). I think it will be a good time to relax and reflect on some of the things that have taken place the last couple of weeks. I won’t have my phone on all day, praise God.
- We rearranged our mudroom/office tonight. It amazes me at my wife and I’s ability to change. As I sit at our desk in our “new” room, I’m energized and excited to think how much work will take place in this space. I love a change of scenery, we all need it from time to time.
- Currently Reading; Seeds of Contemplation by Thomas Merton (current), It by Craig Groeschel (finished), Wide Open Spaces by Jim Palmer (started), and Christian Doctrine by Erickson (yes, I can read more than one book at a time and yes, I am reading my bible as well but I figured that was a given).
- My Chicago Cubs are playing amazing baseball (as I wrote that, I cringed because I don’t want to mess up their season. Yes, all cubs fans are like that.)
- I set up an old chess board the other day. It dawned on me how long it has been since I have played. Maybe it’s the nerd in me, but chess takes so much thinking and planning. I love it. Anyone up for a game?
- New albums that I am rocking out to right now; The Beach Boys – 20 Good Vibrations, David Crowder Band – Live Remedy (DVD is awesome, Elevation Worship – This City, R.E.M. – The Best of REM, Bloc Party – Intimacy, and The Verve – Forth, and the One Day as a Lion EP (Note, not responsible for content contained on albums) All really, really good stuff.
