Somebody said the other day, “God has really given him/her a great ability (gift).” I have heard that saying thrown around a lot lately actually. If God has given us a gift, then why are we so timid in finding it and even more scared of using it?
The best way to find out what the Lord has blessed you with, or your God given ability, is to get active in everything you possible can. Get off the couch and active in the world. When your active, you realize that that one thing God has given you comes natural and you do it well. Whether it be throwing a baseball over a hundred miles an hour, being organized, preaching a sermon, or shoveling manure, it all matters because God has given you that ability.
However, my God given ability doesn’t start until I actually start using it. Some people are good at keeping what they are good at a secret. They feel that they don’t want to share it because it will be boasting. While you can closet your ability all you want, your harming the spirit from moving. Your God given ability doesn’t start until you actually use whatever God has given you to further his kingdom. Let what God has blessed you with shine for all the world to see so others can see His glory through you.
Stop wondering what you could do and start activating what you can do. Let God be glorified through your abilities. This is the only way the kingdom advances.
