“Humility is the beginning of knowledge.” – John T. Jones, Ph.D
There are two things in life that God will always give you when you pray for them, patience and humility. I have prayed for patience before and God delivered in a big way. It was a long couple of months but the lessons learned from were non refundable. My relationship with Christ was changed in a big way.
This last week I have been contemplating praying for God to make me humble. Humility is a big thing to pray for, it’s right up there with patience. I’m not going to reveal what the final decisions was but there are a few questions worth thinking over and debating before you pray for God to make you humble.
- What am I doing right now to serve others?
- Where am I searching for more wisdom and who am I letting pour into my life?
- Am I grateful for what I receive?
- Do I recognize how little I really know and how much more I can learn?
- How am I working on not being aggressive to others?
- Do I take care of my family and give them support in all that they do?
- Do I love God and recognize that God will lead me to truth and knowledge?
What hard prayers are you praying?
-Jordan
