Last night was a blast at GeNESIS. It was awesome to see our junior high students tearing up their bibles and our high school students communicating openly and honestly. While I feel I always learn something new in ministry, last night I got schooled. It’s awesome to see God work when you change the strategy up a little but keep the vision the same.
Some observations
- Two acoustic worship songs works perfect with junior high students
- Students were in the word almost all night and never board being there
- Everything was engaging and interactive
- Students left with biblical truth pulled from their daily life
- 1 Corinthians 3:16-17
- Left with smiles on their faces, ready for more!
- A three song full band worship set is ideal for high school
- Dodge ball builds community
- Feedback is a good thing
- A family environment was created and maintained
The desire is always to have a fun,be engaging, and build community. Ministry is taking off now I’m getting out of the “box” of church. What about you? What is going on in your ministry? How is God using you? Where is God using you? What are you doing outside of the “box” of church to make an impact? Continue to stay in the word and focus on Him daily.
